The perfect age for Newborn Photography is when bub is 1 to 2-weeks-old
The ideal time for a newborn photography session is within the first two weeks. During this time, babies are at their sleepiest, which usually allows for those sweet, posed photos in adorable little outfits.
Although the newborn stage technically lasts up to 7 weeks, the further we get from that two-week mark, the less likely it is to capture those curled-up, unwrapped poses. Of course, every baby is unique—some settle perfectly for posed photos even at 5 weeks, while others have their own ideas right from the start!

About Your Newborn Session
My newborn photography studio is located in western Sydney is a calm and soothing environment.
In fact, parents relax so much during a session they often fall asleep.
The studio is heated to ensure your baby is comfortable and relaxed, but it can get warm. So, make sure you dress appropriately so you don’t overheat.
If your baby is hungry, we’ll stop so you can feed them. If your baby needs a cuddle or a burp, we’ll wait until your baby is settled again.
Your new baby is the star of the shoot so we’ll stop whenever needed.
I love to include sentimental items to personalise the session to your family. A VERY popular item that clients love to bring are their babies first cuddly toy. Often these are Jelly Cat brand – check them out here.
What if my baby is too unsettled for photos?
This is a common concern for parents as a baby’s temperament can change overnight.
But please don’t worry.
If your baby is unsettled, cranky, or just doesn’t want to play, we’ll simply reschedule. This happens very rarely. Normally we can get a gallery of wrapped images even with a grumpy bubba 🙂
Because capturing these moments for you and your baby are just as important to me.

Newborn posing, safety, training, and experience
As a professional newborn photographer, I’ve undergone training in newborn posing and the safe handling of babies.
The safety of your precious newborn is of the utmost importance.
From the moment I start wrapping and handling your baby, I’m monitoring their movements and the poses that are comfortable for them.
I’m fully vaccinated and ensure my Western Sydney studio is cleaned and all props sanitised before your baby’s photography session.

Where is your Newborn Photography Studio located?
The studio is in Wentworth Falls, Blue Mountains.
How far in advance do I need to book my Newborn Photoshoot?
Book at the beginning of your third trimester. Then you have it all locked in and don’t need to panic at the last minute. Preparation is key!
However, there’s a lot to organise when you’re pregnant so if you’ve forgotten to book your newborn session please don’t panic.
I usually have availability in my Western Sydney studio for last-minute newborn photography sessions.
What is the best time to do a Newborn Photoshoot?
Within the first 14 days of babies life. That is when they are sleepiest and curliest!
What should I bring to my Newborn Photoshoot?
Nappies, bottles with pumped milk or formula (if possible). A pacifier! Even if your baby hates it OR you don’t want them to have one…you can throw it away after the session!
Can we bring sentimental items to be included?
Absolutely! I love LOVE including sentimental items within sessions 🙂
How long does my Newborn Photoshoot take?
30 or 90 Minutes depending on session booked.
What if my baby is sick on the day of the shoot?
Life happens – don’t panic! Touch base and we can chat 🙂
Do you do weekends?
Full sessions can be booked on a Saturday, however please be advised that I am often booked out months in advance
