Cake smash sessions are held in my Blue Mountains studio and are super fun, action-packed sessions.
And that’s before we add a cake smash to the mix. In fact, it doesn’t even have to be a cake smash. Your baby’s photography session can be anything you want.
We’ve done a cookie smash, a spaghetti bolognese smash, and even a paint smash. The possibilities are endless.

You can include family and siblings in the photography session.

Just quietly…if you decide to jump in on the cake smash section of the shoot and assist with the cake eating, that is TOTALLY acceptable.

We offer upfront, simple pricing and a professional service at an affordable price with no hidden fees or confusing packages.
Your session fee is $125 and includes:
- A 1 hour Portrait Experience (2 hours for Newborn)
- A professionally edited and high resolution "Family" digital image
- $300 Credit (cannot be applied to gifts and extras)

FAQ About Cake Smash Photoshoots
Where is your Cake Smash Photography Studio located?
The studio is in Wentworth Falls, Blue Mountains.
What age is best to do Cake Smash Photoshoots?
Anywhere around 12 months of age. Can be before or after their first birthday.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Minimum of 2 weeks
Does my child need to have eaten cake BEFORE?
YES! They need to have already eaten it AND held it in their hands. I cannot stress how important this is.
Can we smash something other than a cake?
Absolutely! We’ve done a cookie smash, a spaghetti bolognese smash, and even a paint smash. The possibilities are endless!
What if my baby is allergic to some of the ingredients in a Cake?
If you know your baby is allergic to any of the ingredients in cake, then you will be required to provide the cake to make sure that it is safe for your baby. We also have the option of changing it to a Spaghetti Smash, Paint Smash or any smash you would like!
What do I need to bring?
Your childs favourite snacks, toys and entertainment! Anything that can make them feel comfortable. A change of clothes for yourself and your child. You will likely ALL end up with cake on you.
Can we bring sentimental items to be included?
Absolutely! I love LOVE including sentimental items within sessions 🙂
How many set ups are included?
This is a curly one. Kind of a “how long is a piece of string” question.
Most shoots include 3 different “looks. This can be different outfits or different backdrops. It depends on your session and the plan we have made. All of this is planned out via your questionnaire, emails and your pre session call.
How long does the Cake Smash Photoshoot take?
About 45 mins -1 hour.
What if my child is sick on the day of the shoot?
Touch base with us ASAP and we will reschedule your session.
Do you do weekends?
Unfortunately not for cake smashes – they are just too messy and the clean up is too time intensive to have shoots before and after the session.
