The moment they arrive, your world is perfect
Ten perfect fingers, ten perfect toes and a heart that beats just for you. Let’s capture this tiny miracle before those magical first weeks slip away.
You fell in love … and then you create a love that would outlast you both.
Your love story started with just the two of you. Then you chose to write a new chapter together … one that would turn your love into a living, breathing miracle.
And here you are, either counting down to when your little miracle arrives or now holding a precious bundle of newborn gorgeousness in your arms.
Those first few weeks will be like the opening pages of your family’s greatest chapter. Yes, there will be sleepless nights and endless feeds, but woven through it all will be the most profound love story ever written – yours, continuing.
Soon you’ll watch how this tiny person transforms you both into a team, falling deeper in love as you discover this new version of yourselves.
This will be your love multiplied, made infinite, unstoppable.
But these first few weeks of your Newborn fly by faster than you expect. Soon, this peaceful little baby will walking, talking and writing their own adventures.
These quiet, tender first weeks – when it’s just the three of you learning to be a family – are unrepeatable.
When that time comes, you’ll be living in the most romantic chapter you’ll ever write together.
And you will want to capture them. These photos will become the visual diary of when your love story became a family legacy – proof that true love really does create miracles.
There’s something almost magical about those first fourteen days of a Newborn Baby.
In this brief, beautiful window, your baby still carries the essence of where they came from. They curl up exactly as they did inside you, fold into impossible positions, and sleep with the kind of peace that only comes from feeling completely safe.
This is when they’re still more dream than reality – drifting through sleep so deeply, naturally forming heart-melting poses as if they’re showing you all the ways love can take shape. Their tiny fingers instinctively curl around yours, perfect miniature eyelashes frame closed eyes, and those rosebud lips form the sweetest little pouts. And that wispy hair catches the light like spun silk, while that newborn smell – that indescribable sweetness – makes you want to breathe them in forever.
This dreamy quality fades as they wake up to the world.
By week three, those angel-like sleeps become lighter. Those perfect curls start to straighten as they discover their limbs and look around with curious eyes. Soon, those tiny toes will be kicking with purpose instead of curling in perfect little clusters. It’s wonderful, but it marks the end of this particular magic.
Some babies hold onto this sleepy sweetness longer, others arrive wide-eyed from day one. Every baby authors their own story, and we work with whatever beautiful chapter they’re ready to share.
If your little one is already older, their story is just as precious – filled with alert gazes, tiny smiles, and personality shining through. Each chapter is unrepeatable, and each one deserves to be remembered.
For 25 years, I’ve been trusted by families across Penrith, Blue Mountains, and Western Sydney to capture their most precious beginnings.
There’s something special about working with someone who truly understands your community. I’m not just your photographer – I’m your neighbour. I’ve watched families grow in these beautiful areas, from Penrith’s bustling suburbs to the peaceful Blue Mountains, and I understand the unique love story each family brings.
My journey began over two decades ago, and in that time, I’ve had the incredible privilege of photographing hundreds of newborns. Each tiny client has taught me something new about patience, gentleness, and the art of capturing pure love. This isn’t just a job for me – it’s a calling that I’ve dedicated my life to perfecting.
Local Heart, Professional Expertise: Based in the stunning Blue Mountains, just 40 minutes from Penrith, my studio offers the perfect escape from the everyday.
Many families tell me the gentle drive through the mountains becomes part of their special memory.
Transparency You Can Trust: No hidden fees, no surprise costs. What I quote is what you pay, because starting your family’s photography journey should feel exciting, not stressful.
Safety-First Training: With 25 years of specialised newborn experience, I’m trained in the safest posing and handling techniques. Your baby’s wellbeing is always my first priority.
When you choose Kristy’s Studio, you’re choosing someone who’s not just local – you’re choosing someone who’s been trusted by your community for a quarter of a century.
“Maybe we should wait until things settle down.” “We’ll book something when the budget allows.” “Perhaps when they’re a bit older and easier to manage.”
These thoughts are completely natural. New babies bring so many decisions, and it can feel overwhelming to add one more thing to your list.
Here’s what I’ve learned from 25 years of working with families: there’s never a “perfect” time. There’s never a moment when everything feels completely settled, when the budget feels abundant, or when leaving the house feels effortless.
But there is this moment. Right now, when they’re small enough to fit completely in your arms, when that overwhelming love makes everything else fade away. This particular magic – the way they curl up, the way they trust you completely, the way your heart feels like it might burst with love – this transforms quickly.
In just weeks, they’ll be different babies. Still beautiful, still yours, but no longer quite so small, quite so sleepy, quite so perfectly nestled.
Twenty years from now, what will matter most? The grocery budget from this month, or having captured this fleeting chapter of pure love?
Sometimes the most important investments aren’t planned – they’re felt.
We have two simple packages to chose from depending on your style and budget
Do you have a special photo album from your childhood? One that makes you smile every time you see it on the shelf?
There’s something magical that happens when you hold a real photograph in your hands. It’s different from scrolling through your phone – more intimate, more permanent, more real. When you flip through those pages, you’re not just seeing images, you’re feeling the weight of your history, touching your memories.
Your parents probably have albums filled with your childhood – birthday parties, family holidays, those precious everyday moments that seemed so ordinary then but feel priceless now. Those albums became treasures, didn’t they? The kind you reach for when you want to remember, when you want to share your story with someone special.
Now it’s your turn to create those treasures for your own family.
Imagine your child at sixteen, showing their friends their baby photos from a beautiful album. Picture yourself at seventy, sharing these images with grandchildren who will marvel at how tiny their parent once was. These aren’t just photos – they’re the beginning of your family’s visual legacy.
The beauty of printed memories is that they don’t disappear. Phones break, files get lost, technology changes. But a beautiful photograph printed on quality paper? That lasts generations.
As part of your session, you’ll have the opportunity to create stunning wall art and albums that transform your precious moments into lasting family heirlooms. Whether it’s a simple gallery wall or an elegant album, these pieces become the heartbeat of your home.
Because some memories deserve more than just living in your camera roll.

Nestled in the beautiful Blue Mountains, my studio feels more like a cozy home than a photography space.
The moment you step inside, you’ll understand why so many families tell me they never want to leave. It’s warm, welcoming, and designed to feel like the most comfortable place on earth for you and your precious little one.
You know you’ve found somewhere special when parents regularly drift off to sleep during sessions. There’s something about the gentle warmth, the soft lighting, and watching your baby so perfectly content that creates the most peaceful atmosphere. Don’t worry if you find your eyelids getting heavy – it means you’re exactly where you should be.
Your baby sets the pace, always. Hungry? We pause for feeds. Need a cuddle? We’ll wait as long as it takes. Fussy? We’ll try a different approach or simply reschedule if needed. This is your baby’s moment to shine, and we work entirely on their terms.
I love when families bring something meaningful to include in their photos. That special blanket from grandma, a treasured first teddy bear, or anything that tells your unique story. These personal touches transform your session from beautiful portraits into a true reflection of your family’s love story.
With 25 years of experience and specialised newborn safety training, your little one is in the most caring hands.
Every pose, every position, every gentle movement is guided by years of understanding exactly how to keep babies comfortable and completely safe. I watch for every tiny signal your baby gives me, adjusting and adapting to ensure they’re always at ease.
My studio is a clean, safe sanctuary where everything – from props to blankets – is carefully sanitised before each session. As a fully vaccinated photographer, I take every precaution to protect your precious new arrival.
Because creating beautiful memories should never come at the cost of peace of mind.
The studio is in Wentworth Falls, Blue Mountains.
Book at the beginning of your third trimester. Then you have it all locked in and don’t need to panic at the last minute. Preparation is key!
However, there’s a lot to organise when you’re pregnant so if you’ve forgotten to book your newborn session please don’t panic.
I usually have availability in my Western Sydney studio for last-minute newborn photography sessions.
Within the first 14 days of babies life. That is when they are sleepiest and curliest!
Nappies, bottles with pumped milk or formula (if possible). A pacifier! Even if your baby hates it OR you don’t want them to have one…you can throw it away after the session!
Absolutely! I love LOVE including sentimental items within sessions 🙂
30 or 90 Minutes depending on session booked.
This is a common concern for parents as a baby’s temperament can change overnight.
But please don’t worry.
If your baby is unsettled, cranky, or just doesn’t want to play, we’ll simply reschedule. This happens very rarely. Normally we can get a gallery of wrapped images even with a grumpy bubba 🙂
Because capturing these moments for you and your baby are just as important to me.
I want all my families to have beautiful newborn photos to treasure in years to come.
Life happens – don’t panic! Touch base and we can chat 🙂
Full sessions can be booked on a Saturday, however please be advised that I am often booked out months in advance
